My daughter, Olivia, and I have been having a blast in our creative fall adventure. We have been staying up late to make a ton of unique Fall and Halloween decor items. Please join us on our fall crafting journey by signing up for our Fall Inspiration Newsletter. You don’t want to miss a thing.

How to Make a Halloween Wreath

If you have been following my blog, you know I love black and white, which means Halloween will have black and white decorations.

Paint the Grapevine Wreath

I started this wreath by gathering the ribbon, floral picks, and a grapevine wreath form. I noticed that I did not like how the browns of the grapevine wreath looked with the black and white of everything else. What to do?

I used my favorite black Rust-oleum paint and gave my grapevine wreath a Halloween makeover.

You can see in the photo below how the black paint really makes a difference.

I had to add this photo too so you can see the difference a coat of paint made.

Now that the paint is dry I am ready to begin assembling the wreath.

Grapevine wreaths are the easiest to use for wreath making since you can easily move elements around before permanently attaching them. I moved these black and white pumpkins around until I liked how they looked. Then I added the black pom-pom pick and then I made the bow.

I cut my ribbons for the bow. See the video for my complete how to make this gorgeous 4 ribbon bow.

What can I say? This week’s features at the Little Cottage Link Party #19 we’re all about creative takes on fall decor. This wreath is definitely different, yet still spooky AND gorgeous! The black and white checks and polka dots give it that extra special something. Great job, as usual!
