Garlic Bread

Fresh homemade garlic bread is the perfect side for tomato soup, baked ziti, spaghetti, etc. It only requires a few minutes to make, and it also adds that something special to any meal.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Butter room temperature
  • 2 Tablespoons Chopped Parsley
  • 2 Garlic cloves minced
  • 1 16 ounce French or Italian bread

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
    Allow butter to come to room temperature.
  • Place softened butter in a medium bowl.
  • Rinse and chop parsley. Add to butter.
  • Peel garlic and mince with a garlic press or chop finely. Add to butter mixture.
  • Add a little ground pepper to taste.
  • Using a spatula, combine ingredients.
  • Using a bread knife, carefully slice the loaf of bread lengthwise.
  • Place the bread loaf halves on a cookie sheet with the cut sides up. Spread the cut area with garlic butter.
  • Place the bread in the oven for around 12 to 14 minutes. Check every minute after 12 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and slice into serving-sized pieces
