Cranberry sauce is traditionally served on Thanksgiving as a side dish; however, it is too good not to serve it all year. It is tangy and sweet, bursting with berries.
– Combine water, orange juice, and sugar in a medium-large saucepan over medium heat.
– Place the cranberries in a colander, inspect the cranberries, and remove any bad ones. Rinse.
– Add them to the mixture.
– Heat until the berries burst. Stirring occasionally.
– After 10 mins of cooking, add the cinnamon and orange zest, stir, and cook for 2 - 5 more minutes.
