Hello, our spring home tour is a great way to get inspired by all the fresh ideas from three different designers. Are you ready for some pretty flowers, warm breezes as well as some beautiful blooms? Spring is an exciting time with all the possibilities it brings to my home and family, and as a result, it is like a rebirth or re-awaking.
Welcome to my family room. It is the center of our home, as well as, our favorite family hangout. When you open the front door you look straight into the family room and you see the fireplace, so I always start my decorating there. I displayed some of my favorite vintage McCoy flower pots on the mantel as well as using wood slices to create more variation in height.
Bunny banner and flower pots:
This year I changed things up a little and added a new bunny banner, standing bunny (see how I made Mr. Bunny HERE), Rae Dunn inspired flower pots and the bunny pillow applique for some whimsy. The bunny banner, bunny pillow applique, and Rae Dunn inspired flower pots were all made in flash by my daughter with the help of our Cricut Maker. Below you can grab your free SVG files when you subscribe to the newsletter.
This post contains affiliate links. This means that if you purchase from one of these links I will make a small commission, but rest assured you will not pay more for any products.
Why not make a coordinating bunny pillow applique too? Grab all the files for these designs with the form above. You can find the instructions on how to make this HERE. This cute pillow is sure to put a smile on everyone’s face, so grab that file too. The bunny pillow especially pops with the buffalo check pillow behind it. If you want to create this look for yourself check out where I get mine HERE.
Mr. Bunny on Spring Home Tour:
Mr. Bunny was created with some old pallet wood and dry brushed with white chalk paint. Then I finished his look with a buffalo check bow and a stand so he could be used anywhere.
DIY flower pots:
My budget friendly Rae Dunn inspired flower pots cost less than $2 each, however, they look like the “real” thing. Their price tag is definitely a bargain for one thing and you can customize the colors to fit your decor. The SVG file for the words is in the download above, as well as the one-of-a-kind wooden tote I made last year which you can find the instructions and pattern HERE.
I thoroughly enjoyed putting together my part of the spring home tour, as well as working with these lovely bloggers and I hope you found some fun inspiration on this stop of the tour. Now are you ready to be amazed because it is time to HOP on over to Southern Yankee DIY for the next stop and be inspired when you see her beautiful spring decor and tablescape ready to dazzle and delight her spring dinner guests. See a sneak peek below:
Then hopping over to visit the most talented Denise of Swellegant Life who is an expert with a needle and thread, fabrics, and gourmet treats. This is going to be a unique delight, so now on to the sneak peek below:
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog and taking the tour. I hope you were inspired as well as delighted by these three different homes.
