How to Make a DIY Reindeer Tie Ornament
You can find old neckties in the closet or from a thrift shop. If you use a loved one’s tie, you will have a sweet reminder whenever you place the ornament on your tree.
You might enjoy making angel ornaments from ties, too.
Ornament Supplies
- Necktie
- Felt
- Ribbon
- Craft stick
- Google eyes
- Pom pom
- Chenille stems
Tools
- Scissors
- Hot glue
- Wire cutters
- Ruler
Preparing the Reindeer Tie ornament
The first step is to cut the large end of the tie eight inches from the tip.
Next, fold back a few inches from the cut edge and remove two inches of the stiffener.
Then, cut a craft stick the width of the tie.
You can use hot glue to attach the craft stick to the back of the tie about two inches from the cut edge. You can make your Reindeer Tie ornament longer or shorter; this is how I made mine.
Then, fold down the cut edge by about one inch, fold it down again, and glue it.
DIY Reindeer Tie Felt Ears
To make ears, cut two ovals out of felt.
Next, pinch a tiny bit of one end of the felt to form your ears.
Then, glue the ears on either side of the back of the folded-down edge of the tie.
DIY Reindeer Tie Antlers
To create antlers, curl chenille stems around a pencil.
Side the chenille stem antler off carefully and glue it next to the ears.
Decorating the Ornament
Your reindeer can be decorated with a bow if you like.
Reindeer Tie ornament Eyes
You can use google eyes or buttons for the reindeer eyes.
Next, add a ribbon loop for a hanger and a pompom for a fun reindeer nose.
See you soon,
Kippi

I love the reindeer ornament. Is there a chance you could send me a email of the instruction. Too large to download.
Thank you
