I love a quick decorating project, so my last-minute Christmas Decorating included this kitchen hutch which is easy and fun. Sometimes you have that last place that might have been overlooked and it could use some holiday cheer. Adding some fresh greens and a few items can instantly cheer up your space.

Last Minute Christmas Decorating
This farmhouse hutch painted with white chalk paint and sanded in places to give a rustic look is a wonderful setting for our Christmas display in the kitchen.
Before decorations
I used plastic tubs and filled them with items I might use and used the bushel basket to hold cuttings from my cedar tree and holly bushes.
Gnome, sign, Rae Dunn

I used some fun Rae Dunn pieces I already had on hand. Then added a bit of greenery to showcase the pottery.

Next, I added a jar with more greenery and bit of baker’s twine. This year I am using tree slices as part of my Christmas decor so I used a tree slice coaster under the UGH mug.

I might add cranberries and more greenery to these with some water and floating candles for Christmas Eve. After I remove the pine cones, of course. Easy last-minute Christmas decorating can refresh your decor that is has been out for weeks as well as finish a forgotten corner.

A closer look at hutch
The candles on the top left corner are more of the three pieces with a cutout in the top to place a tea light. I love to add a boxwood wreath to all my decor so up it went to the top center. I used metal letters R D for Rae Dunn just for fun. Decorating this hutch cost nothing. I made the gnomes, cut the greenery from my yard, Rae Dunn pieces and everything else I already had. Easy and free hutch styled for Christmas in a snap.
