Valentine’s Day is a fun holiday to celebrate with those you love and appreciate. I have gathered some amazing Valentine’s Day Ideas to share with you.
This year, we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day at home, I wanted to make it extra special. Don’t miss the rest of the inspiration at the bottom of this post!

Valentine’s Chocolate Cupcake with Pink Buttercream frosting
Easy Valentine’s Day Ideas
Everyone loves to receive sweet gifts on Valentine’s Day. My favorite gift for Valentine’s day is, of course, chocolate! I LOVE all chocolate, especially these Triple Chocolate Cupcakes frosted with the best buttercream frosting with a little pink tint.
DIY Conversation Hearts Cupcake Picks
I wanted to share my fun cupcake picks. My inspiration to make them was my daughter, Olivia’s, DIY conversation heart cards. They brought back fond childhood memories. The current health crisis has me reminiscing (#cabinfever) about days gone by, so why not just enjoy something old-school.

Heart printables
Supplies:
- Colored Cardstock 8.5″ x 11″
- Aqua Liquid Glue
- Toothpicks
- Scissors
- Printer
- Printable click HERE for your hearts
First, download the free printable HERE. Then load your printer with whichever colors of cardstock you prefer. I tend to load and print one piece of cardstock at a time to limit any possible printer jams or errors.

Cut out the hearts following the outlines
Next, cut out the hearts following the printed outline. You will want to cut out one printed front and one blank back for each cupcake topper.

Cut out the front and back heart pieces
You can either cut inside the cut line for this look or cut to the outside of the line. Hint, it looks better to cut off the black outlines if you cannot cut them out perfectly (ask me how I know?).

Creating my Valentine’s Cupcake Picks
Lightly apply glue (this is the glue I used) to the back piece and press the toothpick into the center. I prefer using the broad tip on this Tombow Mono Aqua Liquid Glue to spread a thin, even layer onto paper projects.
Apply a little glue to the top of the toothpick. Now press the front heart on top over the toothpick.

Now the fun part, add the picks to your cupcakes and share the sweet LOVE.

Insert the pick into your cupcake
Once the heart topper is dry, it is ready to use. It’s super easy to stab into any cupcake, making for an instant upgrade.
