Ingredients
The ingredients for cooking acorn squash you probably have on hand.
- Acorn Squash washed and towel dry.

How to Cut Acorn Squash
To cut the squash safely you will want to use a nonslip cutting board or a cutting board with a damp cloth placed under your cutting board. Also, you will want to use a sharp knife.
Place your squash on its side on the cutting board.
Next, place your knife in the center of a valley and cut through the stem to create to even halves or cut to the side of the stem to make it easier to cut.
How to Cook Acorn Squash
The best way you can cook an acorn squash is in the oven. Oven roasting prevents your squash from becoming soggy.
After you cut the squash in half use a spoon to scoop out the seeds and fiber from the “bowl” and discard.
Place cut and seeded halves on a rimmed sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
Next, brush the flesh of your squash halves with olive oil.
Then, season with salt.
Bake until soft.
Remove from oven and add desired toppings and serve.
